Experiment with felt balls

I liked this photo I had taken as I imagined it to be lots of felt balls connected together, so I decided to create a piece by stitching lots of felt balls together using the colour palate from this photo. I am happy with the outcome of this piece because of the unusual rounded rocky shape and the variation in colour. For these felt balls I decided to put together all the colours and fibres I wanted in one ball and felted them all together, which gave a nice flowing liquidated effect. Unlike how I had done it recently, one layer of coloured felt at a time, which gave more structure to the layers of colour.
